As the seasons change, so do the crops that farmers grow around Virginia, but the Arlington Farmers' Market operates year-round. Every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, the intersection of North 14th Street and North Courthouse Road transforms into a market stocked with fresh produce, meats, and other locally sourced goods.
Although the exact lineup of vendors varies a bit from week to week, sometimes depending on the season, you can always expect a solid selection of raw and prepared foods. Grab a basket of fresh berries from Twin Springs Fruit Farm and craft a spring-inspired dessert. Head to the Smith Meadows booth for cuts of grass-fed beef, pork, and lamb. Pick up a loaf of fresh bread from Girardot's Crumbs, a European-style bakery. You can also snack or sip on prepared items from El Taco Loco, Senzu Juicery, and other shops at the market.
