Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery is a counter service bakery and café serving Louisiana-style classics with lots of Southern charm. New Orleans-born chef David Guas, widely recognized from appearances on The Today Show and host of Travel Channel’s American Grilled, opened the restaurant in 2010 as a nostalgic tribute to his hometown. Here, you'll enjoy Cajun classics like muffulettas, gumbo, jambalaya, and beignets.
The café has a funky vibe, with colorful antique shutters adorning the walls, exposed brick, and oversized windows to let in natural light. Sit at their many booths, tables, or cozy couches. They also have an outdoor patio to enjoy during the warmer months. Check out Bayou Bakery's weekday happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for discounted drinks and eats. They also offer a popular weekend brunch, featuring Buttermilk Biscuits and Gravy, grits, and Bayou Bloody Marys served in a mason jar.
Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery is easily accessible via the Courthouse Metro stop and also offers nearby metered parking and garage parking.
