As its playful name suggests, Ray’s The Steaks is an upscale eatery that doesn't take itself too seriously. In contrast to other steakhouses that emphasize elegance and decorum, Ray’s has a pirate flag hanging in the dining room, a fun-loving staff and a casual atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.
Though the staff at Ray's place like to have a bit of fun, it’s also important to note that Ray’s does take some things very seriously: Namely, the food. The burgers, steaks, seafood and veggies are all seasoned with Ray’s signature spice blends and cooked on an open flame grill. The hanger steak, in particular, has been identified by local food critics as one of the best in town, while Yelpers praise the crab bisque and key lime pie. With its location in the Navy League building near the metro station, Ray’s can be a pretty convenient place to meet up with friends for dinner and drinks before you head out for a night on the town.
