Think you need a plane ticket to experience a taste of Australia? Not so, The Palatine! Oz, a Aussie-themed restaurant from real estate developer (and Melbourne native) Michael Darby, is now open! The restaurant hosted a soft opening this past weekend during Clarendon Day, during which the 5,100-square-foot bar and restaurant served an abbreviated menu of its "modern Australian" cuisine. Beginning today, however, Oz is offering its full menu, with options that include traditional meat pies, Australian Wagyu steaks, squid ink pasta — even kangaroo skewers! The menu is best paired with the bar's extensive selection of beers, spirits, and hand-crafted sodas.
If you'd like to give Oz a try, head on over to 2950 Clarendon Boulevard (formerly home to La Tagliatella) for dinner between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. today (Sept. 28) and tomorrow (Sept. 29). And be sure to tell us what you ordered and if you enjoyed your meal!
